ACEnergy specialises in Renewable Energy Development and Engineering Procurement and Construction.

Utility-scale solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems are the core of our business and we continue to value developing greenfield projects throughout regional Australia.

Our experienced development team identify suitable land by undertaking an internal environmental impact assessment. The main areas of focus include but are not limited to: agriculture soil class and economics, acoustic impact to nearby dwellings, visual impact and local landscape, glint and glare potential, drainage and run off design, cultural heritage identification, biodiversity impact, traffic and dust
design, bushfire risk mitigation, flood identification and mitigation, wetlands identification and watercourse set-backs.

About the Battery Energy Storage Project

Glenbrae Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is located approximately 155 kilometres west of the state capital, Melbourne. It will support Victoria’s clean energy transition and secure reliable, affordable power for Victorians. Additionally, Glenbrae BESS will be one of Victoria’s largest Battery Energy Storage System’s and will connect directly to nearby existing transmission infrastructure.

At times of high electricity demand, the BESS (via its innovative Battery Management System and MV Power Station) will discharge energy to stabilise the electricity grid thus mitigating power outages and in turn, supplying energy to the district. At times of relatively low value, BESS is programmed to charge from the electricity grid and store energy until the grid requires further support.

Community

ACEnergy is actively seeking feedback from the local community. As part of our development strategy we commit to ongoing community engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

We are currently open to submissions of interest for sponsorship from local community groups within the region. The areas of interest are:

  • Local recreational activities;
  • Local educational groups;
  • Local agricultural community groups
  • Other local community groups
